I actually think it's too soon to tell, as do most of you, probably. But I'm sure that won't stop people from having opinions. So, what player picked after #10 do you think will be better than Collins?

Nobody. I am perfectly happy with Collins. We needed a rim protector and got one.

I've heard Malik Monk, Donovan Mitchell and keeping the 15 and 20 for Jackson and Giles.

Not sure. I would have liked Monk but he didnt fill a position of need.

So i'm good with Collins and seeing what we get.

Bam is who I wanted the day before the draft. He ended up going 14th so we would have had to trade up to get him too.
Not sure I would have done that for 1 spot.

I think Zach will be good, but as discussed on draft night, he will need to time to get stronger.

I would have traded our three first rounders for six second rounders and really made an effort to put out a decent summer league team.

    Monk.
Saying we don't need another Dame/CJ clone is a big fat lie.
When both Dame and CJ are on the bench or even when one of them is on the bench and the other one is having a bad night, we start to depend on charisma from the likes of Allen Crabbe and Aminu.

Crabbe,Aminu and Napier against Iggy,Livingston and Klay...that's where things start falling apart.

I also think Monk would have developed into a better asset which could have been traded for a proven big.

I haven't watched a lot, maybe half of both games, but from what I have seen Collins could be a good fit for the Blazers. In SL he's not exactly surrounded by a lot of talent. He has good size and seems to be a good fundamental player. I'll take that. Let's see how plays in training camp and preseason before we start making him ML2.0.

Why can't people have an opinion that we should have drafted someone else? Not everyone has to be in love with Collins.

Because... it's a dumb conversation to have AND I don't want our players catching wind of this kind of shite thinking the fans (aka us) r some fickle douche bags. Everyone doesn't have to love him, just give the guy a chance & don't shit on him unless he becomes Mild LeoTARD's clone. :smiley-rif: Anybody else can feel free to chime in ASS to why this is all wrong.

It was the right move. Our Collins can do it all.

Just saying that now every trade is a good trade. I could you see you wanting a trade between us and Indy getting PG, but just wanting "a trade" leaves open the very real, perhaps likely scenario where we don't get a player that message boarders are happy with.

It was also a snarky sequel to my "Congratulations, you just drafted Meyers Leonard!" post responding to a poster who wanted a high variance player.
