Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids.

    I'm black.

If I exploit a "skirting" of the rules, it'll get shut down.

But you know what? I think @PtldPlatypus might be wrong.

IMO saying someone is "acting like an asshole" is a personal insult at worst.

At best, saying "acting like" doesn't exactly exonerate you from actually being what you're describing.

I agree, clearly he was saying that I was indeed being an asshole (which may be true) otherwise he wouldn't have said it.

For the record, I don't even care about the personal insults. It does bother me when someone doesn't own their shit though. I'm really sick of seeing posts saying he did nothing wrong and never instigates anything.

Theres a bit of a fuzzy gray area here. There is a difference between you’re acting like a fool, and you are a fool. One implies you’re capable of not being a fool, but you are one right now. The other makes it sound like theres no hope for you.

To me, it is about trust. If his heart is in it, LMA can help the team. Will his heart be in it when he realizes that there is no way he will be the 1st, or even 2nd option in the offense? How will he react when CJ goes into black-hole mode? He played some of his best ball along-side centers who rarely touched the ball - how is he going to adapt to Nurk?

Sorry, but I just don't see him being happy as part of the current team.

Maybe the Spurs would like a couple of first round picks and a couple of defensive minded wings?

Who am I kidding. Late firsts and backups isn't going to get it done.

Good arguments. It's definitely reasonable to be gun shy about Aldridge. One would hope he'd be more amenable to a reduced role when his current contract is over and he comes ring chasing in Portland

I imagine right now Aldridge would think of himself as the No. 2. And Stotts too, probably. Which would demote both CJ and Nurk, and everyone down the line. All 4 would have to have total buy in to whatever the pecking order was decided to be, or it could turn into a disaster

I think that could be very good timing as a missing piece to our actual championship window.

Thanks but no thanks on LMA. He’s a slightly above average player now and getting worse. He’s a cancer who does not have the kind of team-first mentality that makes the Blazers who they are today. He will suck up shots from other players and replace them with less efficient shots, albeit shots that will score all 10’s if it were a pretty shot contest. But it’s not.

The guy was an all star this year. Hardly an aging player that is struggling to keep up. I think too many people are still butthurt over the way he left and forget how talented he is.

@dviss1 If you had to pick one (No BS like "neither") would you rather have Blake Griffin or LaMarcus Aldridge?

Theres players that put up good per game stats but dont really have much of an impact on winning. Aldridge is a bit of an example in regards to that.

Aldridge is effective when used as a post-up threat where the defense picks between doubling orbstaying out in shooters. With 3 players that deserve the ball over him, you'd relegate him to being simply a pick n pop guy, and given his defensive inefficiencies at the 4, that's not enough to make him a big upgrade over Aminu. Given how hes not that good of jump shooter as well, he wouldnt take us to the next level.

As a 5 off the bench, hed be perfect though.
