Well Blake Griffin is one. It's hard to tell who would be available at the deadline next year but who would've thought Porzingis would be traded for expirings and picks?

As for Aldridge's fit on the Blazers I've posted several times in this thread about it already.

I think Griffin stays in Detroit, looks like they are actually building something positive.

I agree, I think Casey’s a good coach, Their bigs are a problem, they get a better PG and they could be very dangerous.

Interesting. Hate him or love him. We never had a fordward like Aldridge since he left, and if Dame wants him back i'm 100% cool with that

It makes too much sense, so it probably won’t happen. As I stated in another thread a season and a half with Aldridge at 24-25 mil per sounds better to me than Love or BG to be honest. With the parity of the NBA right now a lineup of...

    Nurk
    LA
    Hood
    CJ
    Dame

Would be very dangerous in next years playoffs and the following season.

If Nurk is back and healthy before the trade deadline, I could see trading Whiteside to the Spurs for Aldridge.

Ugh... I hope if Aldridge does come back that he isn't such a baby.

I think Everybody deserves a 2nd chance, not just in sports but also in life general. Reports say that he texted Dame back in 2017, he probably knew he made a mistake, i think he'll be a good fit with Dame

Could you see LMA for CJ?

I don’t think we would have to give up much to be honest, especially if they are trending towards missing the playoffs by the deadline. They might not want to be paying LA 25 mil in his age 35 season. If Nurks back to 100% I’d offer either whiteside/1st or Baze/1st. Gives them salary cap flexibility for next offseason and another asset to build through the draft. Imagine if they took a Baze/Trent/1st at this years deadline. A rotation of bigs that included Nurk/Whiteside/LA/Collins would be unstoppable in the playoffs.

No. LA's too long in the tooth. Whiteside could be an asset that they want to keep or simply an ending contract to avoid one more year of LA's contract.

I'm not convinced. I'll root for him if we get him, but when the going gets tough I'll be surprised if Aldridge doesn't quit on us.

I don't care much for players quitting on the team in the playoffs.

He found his way back home and he can stay there.

The players we kept fought hard last season and throughout the playoffs. Most of all they didn't give up nor did they quit on the team. I believe in them.

I agree, but treating San Antonio as our developmental team to toughen up players doesn't sound so bad.

Why not give Collins a chance first? He doesn't need to be toughened up.

I think players that want to be here and could make us better is sort of a no brainer....Lamarcus could be our next Steve Blake...I was hoping that would be Ed Davis but hey....
