What's Dame supposed to say though? "Fuck that guy, we don't want him back!" What would that accomplish?

Something like Man would have been nice, but we arfe in different directions now.

Really though. I agree with Dame Culture. If he wants him back, Ill support it.

And like it has been noted by myself and some others. People grow and nobody in here knows if he is don't growing or not. But its obvious he has grown since he has left.

The HELL he does! He wanted Melo on the team. He backs Stotts.
Dame is a hell of a player, but I don't want him making personnel decisions.

Good point. However in this instance he knows exactly what we are missing and what LMA brings. In this instance I trust Dame.

I just keep having these images of Old Man LMA coming back ... kind of like Old Man Logan, but without the mutant healing ability or the natural coolness. In other words, pretty much the opposite of Old Man Logan.

    Why?
All due respect to Dame, plenty of ex players have shown they arent good at talent evaluation, or coaching or any of the skills required to make “those decisions”.

You might think were all idiots but I assure you the statistical probabality that all the posters on this site are just completely incapable of making good decisions is very low.

Come on guys. The threat of Aldridge making shots from his office inside the elbow would in no way interfere with Nurk's game, and would make this team a legit contender.

That is assuming Stotts could properly assimilate Dame/CJ/Aldridge/Nurk/Jake (Mo)

Not saying it's going to happen of course.

Really? So 3 years from now we'll be dominating because we'll have him off the bench at a position where we're already strong?

    Yeah... No...

Lamarcus is now a better defender and shot blocker than he was before...thanks to Pops for bringing that out in his game...also plays less selfishly ..to bring him back would put us in the finals as constructed but he'd have to make Meyers Leonard money and I'm not sure he'd take the pay cut...he would have a better chance at a ring with this move than where he's at now

I know the idiots part was hyperbole, but when it comes to everything, coaching, management, scouting, even just understanding basketball you always come off (at least in my opinion) that you seem to have very low opinions of the intelligence levels of the people here...
I mean I respect your opinion, and maybe the inverse is more true, that you just think all the NBA people are so elite at everyone of those skills that no normal person can reach that, I just disagree I guess.

Anyways, I just want to know why, you would Trust Dames judgement for roster moves more than someone elses? It seems like if the reason is well Dame is Great, and Dame is a great player, well to me a lot of great players have proven to not be great at coaching, management, etc.

For the record, I dont think highly enough of myself to claim I could do any of those things so I am not coming at it from that angle.

You are looking at it wrong. It has more to do with me crediting Lillard much more as opposed to discrediting anyone in the forum.

Why you ask? He comes across as a student of the game. Actually plays the game at a high level, cconsidered an outstandind leader and is a PG which is often referred to as a coach on the floor. His credentials just far exceed anything i have seen from anyone in the forum.

    Fair enough.
If I may talk about Dame and why I dont always trust a players judgement with roster moves its that a player is too close. I would definitely value their insight, but I think its important to have someone with more of the 40,000 foot type view of a problem or situation.
Of course I agree about the things you said about Dame, but players (in my opinion at least) have a bit more of a micro perspective.
