I didn't say anything about the rules. Just sick of you always trying to act all innocent when threads go sideways.

    OK, all right, enough.

Hoopsjock--I've edited one insult from you; please don't give me anymore.

Cup--we all know you're an expert at pushing buttons without violating rules; no need to provide further evidence.

Seems like you're both done. Let's not revive the argument. Thanks.

Exactly. I think i even said in the response that he is playing center and it has been his primary role. But if he played on the court with Nurkic and i assume at points he would indeed do that. I would expect him to play the PF position. No argument form me really about this. He ain't playing here and it won't be for while if it even happens so i guess that bridge would be crossed then.

And you are a master of avoiding responsibility For being involved in anything. Master of deflecting and master of blaming others for what you do yourself often. Nitpick and instigate.

And before you say it. I know. Im the master of jumping on board and compounding the issue but you know what? If the issue didnt exist then there would be nothing to compound.

For your own good. You MUST exhibit more self awareness.

So about LMA. This years version of him I think could be sufficient as a 4. In a couple of years probably not, but he may only be good enough to be a backup C by then.

I bit my tongue when @Chris Craig told us to stop in the other thread and @CupWizier proceeded to post 4 more times about it. Now here we are again with @PtldPlatypus asking it to stop but Cup just can't let it be.

Yet again he didn't do anything wrong and is trying to blame others. I can't respect people who seemingly never accept responsibility for their part.

Why can't you just stop when people ask you nicely? You completely ruined our mock off season draft by doing similar shit.

I think he'd be fine playing about 1/3 of his time at PF, similar to how SA is using him this year. Maybe a little more against bigger teams but as each year goes by I'm guessing he'll be a little slower moving his feet laterally which will make it hard for him to defend on the perimeter.

For those worried about spacing, Aldridge plays fine with low post bigs. In fact I think Nurk would eventually be able to throw some of those Marcus Camby type lobs to him once they got used to playing with each other. I just don't think it's a pairing that can play big minutes together as Aldridge ages. He'd kill as a go to bench center in his mid 30's, I just question whether or not he'd be a baby and not accept that role.

This literally makes no sense when you say Aldridge and Nurk would be our starting frontcourt.

    TT should be defending Centers.

    Not defensively.

And yes Aminu is a WAY better defensive player in the post.

TT has never been a good post defender.

Or really a good defender at all.

Not sure what's confusing you. On the defensive end it's all about match ups and why good small forward defenders will often be guarding a good point guard. Same with a power forward or center.as they can match up with the opposing center or forward depending on where the advantage is. If not, then how would you do it?

Even if Aminu is a better defender, Aldridge is much better offensively, ball handler and a passer and well exceeds any deficiency Aldridge might have compared to Aminu and I like Aminu. I think you guys are letting your emotions speak when it comes to Aldridge because of how he left. I'm strictly looking at it from a talent standpoint and not contracts or any other tangibles. It's likely never to happen anyway, but it does bring up interesting discussion.

That works in theory but not with Nurk.
So your premise is that on defense Lma would slide over to guard the center when he cant handle the pf of the other team. Okay, so then Who does Nurk guard? The guy that lma couldnt? Nurk cant hang with pfs.

So what you are saying would not work to me. For Lma to start with Nurk, he has to cover the PF defensively.

I see no problem with Aldridge guarding power forwards, but if you have an Anthony Davis you are playing against, it would probably be best to switch up defenses with Aldridge and Nurkic. Right now, Nurkic handles most centers just fine and I don't see an issue with Aldridge guarding pretty much any power forward. You do realize that last year the majority of the games Aldridge played in he was playing the PF position. The main reason he's not playing PF this year is that they really don't have a center.

Fair enough. And for the record, im for getting him as long as we dont lose much or blow our salary out of the water.
In this instance i trust Dame to recognize how much LMA has grown and matured, more than anyone here. If Dame sees it, im for it.
