    Timmy Tim was dealing tonight, taking a no-no into the 7th, and lowering his era to 1.71.

    and Pat Burrell continues to hit only homers, as he is batting .180 and slugging .550 lol

    if the giants can beat up on the rockies this series it could crush the rockies confidence and get the giants in first to stay.

    Isn't Brandon Crawford ahead of him in the system for our SS's? Both supposed to have great gloves but zero bat, probably neither is the answer at SS long term.

    Don't wanna shit on the Rockies right off the bat but so far they've beat up on a bunch of bad/mediocre teams. Still probably the biggest threat in our division though.

    WTF happened to Ubaldo? Its good for my G's but man that dude fell off HARD after the all star break last season and still doesn't have it back.

    yeah him and crawford got nothing in the bat department, we are real thin at ss in the minors, hence miguel tejada.

    and im not sure about ubaldo, but year, he started last year 15-1 and is like 3-10 since.

    Ubaldo was never who everyone thought he was. People on the Mariners board have ben saying that for over a year.

    he led the league in WAR last year, and had a 1.15 era after 14 starts, you dont really luck into that.

    now that being said, i hope you are right and he is never that good again.

    I'm not so sure man. He looked legit. Hard to believe that was just a coincidence. He'd gotten better every season from 07-09 and always had the great velocity and nasty stuff. Looked like in 2010 he put it all together mentally and really took it to the next level. Perhaps it was just a hot streak but why the dip in velocity? Used to dominate with a 98 mph fastball that he had great control over and now hes topping out at 94 and getting lit up. I don't think its as simple as a half-season hot streak, something isn't quite right with him.

    some pitchers need that extra 5 mph on their heater to dominate, if it is gone, he is going to have to work on pitching and not just "throwing"

    Well whatever the case, you guys have the best rotation in baseball, so it's not a big deal.

    Much better situation than my Mariners, anyways.

    Yeah that's a big blow for the Rockies if he never recovers.

    Speaking of which, good to see Lincecum hitting 96 consistently again. Pretty amazing how he dominated down the stretch last season topping out at around 91. Still beat Hudson, went 1-1 against Halladay and 2-0 against Cliff Lee to win a WS and maybe it'll just make him that much better of a pitcher. Seems like he always gets overlooked by the national media even to this day.

    yeah lincecum gets overlooked because he plays in sf, if he played in new york he would be one of the biggest stars in the game.

    and until madbum gets his shit together and zito can stop gagging, the phillies have us smoked.

    and yeah id say winning the world series is a better situation than having the worst record in all of baseball lol, but the mariners are looking better, if not for that bedard trade, yall would be pretty much rebuilt right now.

    ugh dont get me started, he has great plate discipline, leads the team in pitches per at bat, and he has been finding his way, basically needs a hit a game for a week to get his average up to .300, and bochy sits him like a week ago, starts playing nate, and now cody...HE NEEDS AB'S!! the braves freddie freeman started even worse than belt, but they left him in there and he has brought his stats up, i afraid they are just going to kill his confidence jerking him around like this. just leave his +++defense on the field and give the kid 100 ab's at least.
