I don't think he will. The Warriors are significantly better all around.

Maybe Duncan will let him have one of his.

The Spurs (and mostly POP) Are the most veteran savy team possibly in the history of the NBA.
As much as I dont want it to happen. They will win. GS may be a better team athletically, but when it comes to the playoffs, I think the Spurs will simply outsmart them. (not because of LMAS's IQ though)

The Cav have an easier road to the finals IMO. If they stay healthy I would give them the edge

Spurs vs. Cavs in the finals, with Spurs winning in 6.
LBJ goes into depression because he cant bring a ring to his home town and explores free agency with the Blazers.
    But.... would we want him?

At some point you pass "veteran" and become "older than dirt."

Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili are all at that "older than dirt" stage. This is the first year that Duncan has averaged under 10 ppg. Parker and Ginobili would be fine off the bench, but they're not starters anymore. The Spurs are putting all the weight on LMA and Leonard. I don't think that's enough to get it done. The Warriors are too deep, too young, and too talented.

I agree for the most part, but POP is smart. He knows if he wants a chance to win with these senior citizens, then he will need to rest them during the season... of which Pop is also a master of.
IF they had a different coach, they wouldn't have a chance, but with Pop...He knows what to do I think to get one more ring this year before he loses his big three to wheel chairs.

I admit that I've been saying that San Antonio was going to be "too old" year after year, but this is really the first time that we're seeing it. The big three cannot carry the work load anymore. The problem is that they brought in the gutless wonder to replace some of that production, and we all know that LMA can't be counted on to elevate his game. As much as I like Leonard, I don't put him on the same level as a Curry or a LeBron, so how are they going to keep up with the really good teams?

If the playoffs were today the Warriors-Spurs Western Finals would be a humdinger. But let's see them play once this season before we assess the matchup. The Spurs have been the better team over the past couple of weeks, though.

The scary thing is how deep the Warriors and Spurs are. Just wait until you see Patty unleashed. Everyone here is going to be in a fit about "why didn't we keep patty mills". David West is not older than dirt, nor is Borris Diaw. They have a solid bench and Kyle Anderson has shown potential. People are sleeping on the Spurs right now.

I agree with rasta, I need to see the Spurs play the Warriors, and see them play later in the season when it matters. But I do think the Spurs/Warriors will come out of the west and play the Cavs/Pacers/Bulls

Man I hope your right, but it sure seems like they have started to come together. Only 4 games behind GS and playing great ball. I think David West will come up big in the playoffs though and will end up being the difference maker without showing it in the numbers. His defense, rebounding, screen setting and block outs are gonna be huge for Duncan and LMA down the stretch. I think the X factor is West.

Wookie is still under the delusion that LMA loves him. He's the ever loyal battered spouse. He'll never stop loving Aldridge, despite the fact that Aldridge left him for another man.
