They told him he wasn't allowed to wear other sponsors but wouldn't be compensated for wearing the mandated Reebok apparel and he spoke out. He said that if MMA wasn't going to pay him for his work he'd go to boxing full-time (he works with the Klitschko's, Andre Ward, others) and I think the UFC told him to do just that. Shameful. http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/7/2...reebok-deal-cutmen-go-to-boxing-mma-interview
This Reebok deal proves to be more of a joke every fucking week. Good for Stitch, He probably will get paid a lot more in boxing, too. I know a lot of fighters LOVE Stitch so this can't be sitting well with the fighters. It seems the resistance keeps growing. With Aldo speaking out, I expect more high profile fighters to continue to come out against the deal in the coming months.
As with Burt, many fighters are coming out in support of Stitch, including Weidman, Rumble Johnson, and Nate Diaz. Kevin Iole wrote this piece in Jake's defence: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mma-c...689.html?soc_src=mediacontentstory&soc_trk=tw
Somebody will say or has said that Jake is 'just a cut man.' The boxers that he works with, including Wlad and Andre Ward, schedule their fights with his availability in mind, according to Brendan Schaub. Think about that for a second.
