Sure why not. He's not good enough to ruin the tank, but just good enough to take a little bit of pressure off of Damian so he doesn't get too discouraged.

Dude has been underated and underpaid his whole career imo. And a handsome devil to boot. Hes also a sick rapper, and hes got a sister wife thing going on.
Lakers pick is top 3 protected to the sixers I believe. They know that's hard to bank on so they are gonna try and be respectable.
Honestly out best route to being competitive is not spending a lot of money preserving cap space for next summer and or the summer after and add draft picks by being not very good this year.
Sweet Lou pretty much single-handedly won the Raptors six or so games last season and yet most Raps fans aren't sad to see him go. With a strong coach he's probably golden--with a weak one like Casey or Scott he's rampant. Should be a fun watch.
I'm in denial with this Schilly, although you're probably right. I'm not getting any younger and I want these next two seasons to count. Don't expect a championship but I do expect to enjoy the process. I think teams should get fined for tanking. It's not the way to build momentum and swagger. Look at Philly. I don't want to watch the Portland 76ers for the next 3 years. Selfish of me I guess
Word is the Raptors never offered him a contract. Win 6MotY, get bucked by your team. Not a great sign. Also he doesn't have the two girlfriends anymore IIRC. One of them bailed.
Shiiit. What was the hate? Too many bad shots? He's always been a gunner, but he gets to the line at a good clip.
Williams is a victim of a power struggle between the fans/GM and the coaching staff in Toronto. Casey came into the season having established the Raptors as a good defensive team in 13-14 that needed more talent and experience. Ujiri tried to give Casey some pieces, namely Lou Williams as a bench scorer and James Johnson as a defensive stopper on the wing. The team got hot early but stopped playing team ball on both ends of the court and Casey started to overuse Williams, Vasquez, and Amir Johnson. Williams infamously was given "one or two heat checks" per possession before being required to move the ball. When the team cooled off the fans started getting restless and demanded more playing time for the likes of Valanciunas and James Johnson but Casey hunkered down and rarely played either of them when it mattered. The post-All-Star break Raps were terrible (perhaps starting with the OT loss at the MODA) and the playoff collapse really turned the fans against the way the team was set up and Casey himself. In a referendum on the season Casey's staff was fired and his favourite crutch players traded or released. Ujiri, partially via the will of the fans and partially via common sense, is forcing Casey's hand stylistically. He's added only defensive specialists this summer so far in Del Wright, CoJo, BB, and Carroll. Supposing Casey can get back to playing better team defence and stop the reliance on iso offence things will be better even if the team doesn't win 50-games. If old habits are hard to break Casey will be fired before Christmas. Still need a PF.
