<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Daytona News-Journal: Darrell Armstrong and Andrew DeClercq might not wait to see if the Orlando Magic can persuade Antonio Daniels, Speedy Claxton or Juwan Howard to sign with them July 16 or later.

Glenn Schwartzman -- the agent for Armstrong, whose 502 games played are second only to Nick Anderson in franchise history -- had preliminary discussions last week with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Washington Wizards and the Miami Heat are also said to be interested in the 35-year-old point guard.

And the Philadelphia 76ers, who could lose Derrick Coleman to free agency and aren't sure if Todd MacCulloch will ever play again, may be the front-runner to land DeClercq.

Other than Tracy McGrady and Grant Hill, the two highest-paid players on the Magic last season were Armstrong and DeClercq. Armstrong made $4.01 million in the final year of a contract he signed in January 1999, and while no one in the Magic organization has said so publicly, the team might be able to split its $4.8 mid-level exception on both Daniels, 28, and Claxton, 25. </div>

our 2 best players beside tmac arent free agents. so we dont have to worry about our supporting cast getting weaker.

on boards they will. pj brown is an awesome rebounder and gooden had 11 rpg against big ben, just think what he would do against worse rebounders.

I wouldn't judge gooden rebounding against an injuried ben wallace....it was only one playoff series..bibby got lucky last year too..if he did do it for 80+ games then i would see the point

they will help out drastically. we will now have a solid starting pf/c if we get pj brown, because last year we had many different pf/c who started and didn't see consistent minutes. one game they started and played 25 min, next game played 4 min. this year we will have a set rotation at pf/c which is good.
