At this weight, what are the two fights we measure Manny by? A washed up, gaunt, and completely anemic Oscar De La Hoya. And Ricky Hatton, who was never a big hitter. We really don't know if Manny can handle a world class welter/light welter punch. Cotto can bang. Manny has never been hit with the power that Cotto has, especially to the body. In fact, I wouldn't be surpised to see a body punch end the fight (a la De La Hoya when he fought the bigger B-Hop) Cotto has fought fast fighters like Mosely and Judah and the speed didn't bother him. I watched Margacheato beat and beat on Cotto (probably with plastered hands) and Cotto didn't wobble. I don't think Manny can KO Cotto. I suppose if he tees of on him like he did Oscar than the fight could be stopped TKO, but no 10 count KO. I just don't see him being able to land at will against Cotto. He'll tag him, but I can see Cotto walking right through it. Cotto by stoppage is my opinion. Which sets up Cotto vs Mayweather and a very interesting fight that would be. (I'm sorry but I'm going to assume Mayweather gets by Marquez. Not a walk in the park, but probably 116-112 or 117-111 type UD - 8 rounds to 4 or 9 to 3)

The Antonio Margarito did a lot of damage to Cotto because of the illegal plaster in Margarito's gloves which is similar to hitting a guy with brass knuckles. This is a major opportunity for Cotto to become a mainstream boxing name and he was undefeated until the Margarito fight. I think this fight is going to go 9 rounds and end in knockout.
