This could be big for my G's if the Dodgers really suffer without him. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if they rallied and still managed to do well without Manny.
I was on the Phillies bandwagon before they won it, I just never cared much about baseball. Ask Smitty if you don't believe me. Or Bobby Abreu when I cheered for him after winning the HR contest. Now go mow my lawn.
exactly, not caring about a team until they win it all. typical. go have fun with your phillies see you guys in october.
I didn't not care about the Phillies, I was just never that interested in baseball. If I didn't care about them I wouldn't have rooted for them or Bobby Abreu, or felt happy for him when he won. But it's all good though. Obviously you are very pissed by this loss, baby Franklin. Having fun being 7-30 while me and Yama are 1 and 2?
The Dodgers should still be ok. They have a ton of talent in that lineup and a pitching staff with potential to be incredibly good. If they choke on that division while Manny is gone, I'd be shocked.
I barely follow the NL, only Manny and the guys on my fantasy team. Recently, I saw the Giants roster, and, I swear, I said to myself "that guy still plays?" about 15 times.
I know the feeling. It's frustrating they don't make any significant moves to improve their power numbers. The NL West is up for grabs and with the Giants pitching they have a chance to win the division, but they won't commit to improving their everyday positions. This is the perfect opportunity to get a deal done and make a run while Manny is out.
The Dodgers just had 8 million come off the books from Manny getting suspended, they could be wheeling and dealing as well.
