The 83-year-old Manson was rushed from his cell at the Corcoran State Prison to a Bakersfield hospital earlier this week. “It’s not going to get any better for him,” a source told TMZ. “It’s just a matter of time (until he finally dies).” Manson is serving life without parole for leading his murderous “family” in slaying seven people during a two-night murder spree in 1969 Los Angeles. Relatives of two Manson “family” victims declined to comment on his hospitalization Thursday, with one saying their comments were reserved for parole hearings. Leslie Van Houten, the youngest Manson follower, now 68, was approved for parole in September and is awaiting Gov. Jerry Brown’s consent. He blocked her release last year. Give him a dose of whatever drugs make him awake, aware, and immobile, then feed him to a starving polar bear.
Some women killed people one night. Manson was miles away. He was labeled the leader. Would that happen if the genders were reversed?
There were other murders that year. But they were no good for anti-hippy propaganda. So they were barely publicized. In all the conservative hysteria at the time, I noticed an Arizona Christian cult killed several people. It got a couple of lines in the newspaper.
One of the Manson Family's lawyers disappeared during the trial and was never found. We hippies were noticing things. The jury, 11 women and 1 man, elected the man as foreman.
Just as the Simpson trial was just a lot of racist gossip, the Manson Family trials were a lot of anti-longhair, anti-anti-Vietnam War gossip. Without the long hair, they wouldn't be famous. The victor writes the history, and the next generation hears only the propaganda.
