The Houston Astros say they don't think it's a big deal, but when Mark Appel, the No. 1 pick in the 2013 draft, couldn't make a spring training relief appearance when he was scheduled to pitch, it quickly turned into a big deal anyway. Appel was supposed to pitch Monday in relief of starter Collin McHugh in the Astros' 1-0 win against the Toronto Blue Jays, but the 23-year-old right-hander told the coaching staff he felt tightness in his forearm while warming up.
