August 26th in Vegas. Details coming out... Notorious already won. He got his pay day. Anything else is just a bonus.
The press conferences and media calls will be the real fight. Conor brings up the fact that Floyd is illiterate in the first split screen?
Strange bedfellows? New voice of Bellator Mauro Ranallo will be part of the broadcast team for this Showtime event. As will Al Bernstein, Brian Custer, Jim Grey, Paul Maglianaggi, and Steve Farhood. Joe Rogan is expected to be involved in some capacity as well. Ranallo and Bernstein are both well qualified. Off the top of my head the only other person to call both boxing and MMA events is Col. Bob Sheridan. Thankfully Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant are not involved. Lampley is very much among the group of boxing old guard who are threatened by MMA's popularity. I like Merchant but this event isn't exactly in his wheelhouse and obviously his famous spat with Mayweather was embarrassing.
Press Tour The tour will go from July 11 through July 14 with stops in Los Angeles, Toronto, Brooklyn and London.
Irish fans wondering what they did wrong. Could be a contingent in Toronto from Michigan if Floyd still has fans.
Tickets for this will be on sale next week (24th). They will immediately be bought-up by resellers and listed for $1,000-$50,000. Then Mayweather/McGregor promotions will brag about their wonderful sellout and the huge gate they'll get.
