    So, I'm bored and I thought I'd look at the relative schedules of the Grizzlies and Blazers and project how things might play out if by some miracle the NBA resumes and actually plays the games. Memphis currently leads the series 1-0. Here are my predictions, which assume Nurk and Collins return to play. Feel free to post your own.

    Remaining Schedule:

    @ Portland - L
    @ Utah - L
    @ San Antonio - L

    Great thread. I like us winning the home against Houston though. Also- Clippers would rest on final night of season so we'd probably win that one too.

    If the season is continued then the Pelicans will finish higher than the Grizzlies.

    at this stage, I'm not so sure we will see the season finished as time is running out and we are a ways away from being able to resume playing.

    I agree. That’s why I used the word miracle. I’d love it if it could happen because it feels like the Blazers could finally be healthy enough, and have a schedule friendly enough, to actually make some noise. Not holding my breath though.

    I have some thoughts - nothing I’ve read about to date, but somewhat fair and practical in my opinion:

    1. season “continues” on October 15th;

    2. games will be added, for what will known as the “2019-21 Season” that totals 122 games.

    [most teams have 15-17 games remaining and the existing schedule will play out between October 15 and mid-December. These games (new dates, same opponents) will be played at “Regional Stadiums” and broadcast on TV, with no fans in attendance]

    [from December 25th through mid-April, an additional 40 games will be played - if we are clear of the virus, these games will be played in stadiums around the league with fans in attendance] note: a vaccine will miraculously be available by December 1, 2020]

    3. the NBA virtual draft will take place in June and each team will draft 1st and 2nd round picks as per CURENT positioning in the standings. There will be a twist however with EVERY team having at least one ping pong ball in the mix lottery mix - AND, the drawing will take place on the same evening as the televised virtual draft! let’s spice it up. It will be crazy fun;

    4. teams will be permitted to expand their rosters by one player

    5. As far as free agency goes, all player contracts will be extended through December 15th. There will be a trade window / free agent signing period from Dec 16 - 20, with play continuing on December 25th. This too will be crazy fun; either many will re-sign or there could be several movements that will make the 40 games of 2021 super fun.

    6. NBA tournament will be played as typical with one final twist; a formula for seatings will be developed similar to NCAA with (20) total teams playing for the title versus 16.

    Some of the things in this thread can be extrapolated for our current situation:
