have his bird rights so incentive to sign back if we want him.
if he walks we clear a lot of cap...all depends on what we give up but if you can tfigue this out somehow he would fit so well

He would fit in great here.

Seems like he's aging and been around forever, but he's only 27 and in just his 7th year. He'd fit right in with CJ and Dame. A legit 3rd option. Some analytics/stats suggest his defense has declined over the past year or so but he is still an excellent rim protector - was in the top 5 last season.

Would help with spacing in the half court, a solid P&R option. Not sure what the Magic would want for him, but he is set to be a UFA i believe so surely they can't expect anything outrageous considering he may just be a rental for a team.

 

Aminu/Davis/CLE Pick

 

Out of all the trade ideas and scenarios i have seen this one makes the most sense. I don't think we would have to give up Dame or CJ either. Magic want young players/draft picks. Send them Crabbe, Aminu, and/or picks.

I made the joke earlier, but presumably they want good young players, not just random young players. Crabbe is not only not very good, he's also paid an enormous amount.

This is always the problem in envisioning trades for good/great players--the only serious trade assets the Blazers have are Lillard, McCollum and their own first-round pick. Cleveland's first-round pick and Harkless are decent fillers, too.

So if you take Lillard and McCollum off the table (which you would for someone like Ibaka), there really isn't much to offer. You could offer Portland's pick and Cleveland's pick, but you also have to match salary and the only salary Portland can offer that Orlando would want is Ezeli's, which doesn't cover Ibaka's salary. Players like Crabbe, Leonard and Turner are negative trade assets at their salary. Vonleh is nothing special--he hasn't improved enough since being drafted to be considered a serious prospect.

 

If we can include Crabbe and Meyers in the trade, then this could really be a 'Get out of Jail Free' trade for Olshey.

 

You do realize this is the same team that gave us Harkless for a second round pick? And traded Oladipo/lottery pick for the guy that they're now giving away for probably less value.

 

Crabbe, a guy and pick. Do it now. They really need a legit 3pt shooter and we need ibaka.

Damian/CJ/Ibaka would honestly be fantastic. If this were to happen my outlook on the future would do a complete 180. True rim protection and a big who could lighten Damian/CJ's workload. Make it f****** happen Neil!

 

Trade CJ for either Jimmy Butler or Hassan Whiteside and you've got a deal.

 

Is there anyway we could get Ibaka and Brook Lopez while keeping Dame and CJ? That would be awesome.

Harkless' value increased a bunch this year by adding a three-point shot he hadn't shown much previously. But yeah, they've made a couple weak trades lately--the Oladipo trade and the Tobias Harris trade especially. That doesn't mean you should expect free goodies, though. I think it's especially unlikely that they'll unload Ibaka for garbage because they traded Oladipo for him. They're going to want to save some face.

 

Not saying "free" goodies... per se..... but discounted goodies maybe? He's a UFA after this season, and he's going to get a lot of money.

 

I'm just going to say it.....Mason is on a contract year....for Ibaka...I'd have to trade him. Throw in a project or role player and it'd be real tempting

 

Agreed. I would send out Plumlee simply because I don't want the Blazers to overpay him this summer.
