So Maddon couldn't start Lester on 3 days rest but chose to go with Hammel? their reg season numbers weren't that much different but there's a reason Hammel is the 4th starter and Lester was the 1st. If you didn't think Lester could come back on 3 days rest, then why not start Arrieta in Gm 1 so he could do it?

Not using your best pitcher and going with your 4th starter in an elim game is awful.

and i hate Maddon for his stupid shifts and using the entire pitching staff every game, so glad Duda made him pay by ripping that double past the shift where everyone got confused.

My two ex-O's didn't do so well. I'm pretty surprised they swept the Cubs. They still seem a year away. Hopefully KC finishes the stupid Blue Jays.

As a Yankee fan congrats to Terry Collins and the Mets.
It is all about their good young pitching staff.......
and timely hitting. And how about Daniel Murphy!

    Kevin Long........what a difference a year makes?
So, I guess Cashman & Co are eating crow about
    now...........and deservedly so!
