    I think it was a combination of things. His father was killed and gambling issues mostly. I don't think he was suspended by the league in some unofficial manner, but I do think he signed with the White Sox to bide his time until it was right to come back.

    I think there's more to a conspiracy about his father being killed and the ramifications for Jordan if he continued to play.
