    What an idiot. There is no alternate universe where getting in on this trade would make sense for us - neither Thomas nor Irving are going to play back-up to Dame, and trading Dame for either of them would be STUPID.

    He didn't say this trade specifically; just that you want the Blazers to add some piece to take us to the next level. I interpret his tweet as basically saying what most of us in here have said; that Harkless/Vonleh don't yet appear to be the caliber of player that start for a contender, and that despite the constant management refrain of accumulation/retention/development of assets, the Blazers never seem to make that oft-called-for "consolidation deal" to turn quantity into quality.

    I'd go so far as to say that that's precisely what he was referring to.

    And honestly, I'm starting to come around to that way of thinking as well. I think the "Hoodie 'Melo" propaganda has gotten to me.

    I listened to a recent podcast interview with Rice and have to say, his voice sounded weak....not as robust as he usually is...I hope he's in good health

    I don't think he ever did MM....part of his appeal....hence, the Wild One! How many broadcasters have been ejected from a game? Rice has! I'm sure that didn't make the front office happy but he could give a shit.....I'm glad I got to meet him.
