listening to Courtside and Stotts says they take the season 5 games at a time and try to win as many of those "mini-seasons" as possible. Thought people here might want to know that aspect of the team's mindset.
Certainly not original. The Riley Lakers of the 80's were known to do that. I am guessing they were not original with it either. But it makes sense to do it.

You all people are not looking at it the right way. If we make it to game 6 - we made it to the playoffs of mini-season 1. If we make it to game 11 - we made it to the playoffs of mini-season 2. Exercise at home (for the @HCP) - How many playoffs can the Blazers make it to this season?
