Missouri moved up two spots to No. 3 in the final regular-season ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll after the top four teams in the previous week's rankings all lost in their conference tournaments. Despite their ranking -- and one first-place vote -- the Tigers (30-4) received a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament Sunday. Selection committee chairman Jeff Hathaway said that Missouri, the Big 12 tourney champ, was not a serious contender for a No. 1 seed because of a weak nonconference schedule.
