MLS Refs Are Worse Than NBA Refs

    An obvious goal by Kenny Cooper is disallowed for no reason. This is why soccer will never catch on big in the US. The officiating is even more erratic and subjective than it is in the NBA.

    According to Oregonlive, the goal was disallowed because it curled out of bounds before it went to the goalbox.... which I don't see how was physically possible.

    I totally agree. While watching the World Cup this summer I became completely convinced that FIFA is the most corrupt organization on the planet. The MLS refs are just an extension of what I saw this summer. It's so willy nilly. But the match was a blast!

    That was the call. I'm watching the replay now. It wasn't obvious to the announcers cause they likely weren't watching a close up of the ref like I am able to. The ref was obviously making a curving motion with his arm.
