Major League Soccer will add Seattle team in 2009: report

QUOTE

SEATTLE, United States (AFP) - Major League Soccer will add an expansion team in Seattle in 2009, a move that would boost the US football league to 15 teams, according to the Seattle Times. Citing unnamed sources, the newspaper reported Friday that the team will be owned by internet mogul Paul Allen -- owner of American football's Seattle Seahawks -- plus Hollywood bigwig Joe Roth and Adrian Hanauer, who owns the Seatte Sounders squad a level below MLS. A news conference to confirm the plan is expected to be staged Tuesday. MLS added a team in Toronto this season for reach 13 teams and will add the San Jose Earthquakes as a 14th club next year.

I mean this is good news for a great ciy like Seattle, but I rather have an NBA franchise than a MLS franchise.
Wish the expansion team luck tho.

^ lol, true mynetsforlife.
It will get better, as they bring players from europe, granted they're at the end of their careers but still they're good enough for our league, and also bringing coaches like LA did with Gullit, who everyone that knows soccer knows his name.
Things are changing for the good and hopefully it continues. I wish Seattle good luck as well.
