    There's going to be a huge press conference. This is going to be getting national attention. It will probably be televised on ESPN or NBA TV.

    So basically he's out for the season then? Why else hold a press conference? The Bulls didn't hold a press conference to say that Derrick Rose was alright after his hip injury.

    I don't know about the season, but I had the same thought . . . why hold such a big press conference unless there is significant news to share.

    A sprained ankle and back in two weeks . . . I don't think would merit a national press conference. I didn't for Deron Williams.

    Lets face it, we are a cursed franchise..sure we have some highs, but we passed on the GOAT and we had our 3 best teams during the same stretch run as said GOAT..game 7...now this..I just hope I get to see a Blazers title sometime in my lifetime.

    Small injury = Press release
    Big injury = Press conference

    I'm waiting on a second confirmation that this will be a press conference...

    i think the national press is just following it. i dont think portland scheduled a huge press conference, they just scheduled a press conference

    The Blazers hold press conferences for weird reasons. One year they held a press conference to announce that they had signed a RFA to an offer sheet. A press conference? Why? There is a very large electron microscope on Oden. Regardless of the MRI result, there will be several questions on Oden's health. I wouldn't take it as a sign that the results were good or bad. Worst case I would say he is out two months.

    Also, since Oregonians are usually technocrats, can you watch NBA TV at NBA.com at all? (I have league pass).
