You DO NOT need "a crime" to have a special prosecutor appointed. The prosecutor's job actually is to investigate to SEE if a crime was committed. It's called innocent until proven guilty. Unique in American law. Check it out. It's a beautiful thing.

Trump got himself a special prosecutor when he fired the head of the FBI and bragged to his Russian friends - in the Oval Office no less - that he did so to get Comey off his back.

That is evidence, direct evidence, of obstruction of justice.

Well there are still other investigations. New York and DC prosecutors. If they have something I was saying they might wait till he isnt the president anymore to charge him. So, they can charge him as a citizen. Its a possibility.
