For 2021 4th rd pick and all defenseman nick ebert. I guess addition by subtraction. We also retain 750,000 in salary
I figured he would be the 1st to go though not quite this early on. A high 4th is essentially a 3rd so about what i thought for him. Ebert minor league filler. Guess they figure Chytil won't be far off.
Gladly take the 4th and free up a spot for another youngster. I just hope Haley lover doesn't use that spot for Haley and now put Lias with him and Smith thus ruining his entire season. These extra picks can be key if you are sitting there in the first round and love a player and need to trade up a couple of spots. Plus as one poster said, it's really like a late 3rd because the Sens suck.
At the moment I don't believe we have a second rounder. Though, I'm pretty sure somebody will go at the deadline for a second rounder.
I think our 2nd is gone if Fox plays 30 games (which he will barring injury) - though we would get our third back in that case. We also have Dallas' third from the Zucc trade. At first reading I didnt realize it was 2021 fourth we got. To me that suggests we were eager to get rid of him sooner rather than later, as we easily could have gotten something better closer to the deadline. They must have wanted the cap space now. Perhaps a trade for a 2C is coming.
Don't know. The trade deadline has been yielding lower returns of late. I'll give it about 15-20 games before I believe that this team will do better than I thought this season. I'm not convinced either thatn DeAngelo won't go at the deadline. I think Fast is gone for sure.
If he's not part of the future plan there's no need to keep him around, waiting for the deadline is too much of a gamble with the chance of injury. The return to me would not be as significant as the experience a young plyaer can get with Namestnikov's slot open. I can see Haley/McKegg dressing against more physical teams
