<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Grizzlies have gotten a lot younger at point guard, with Kyle Lowry, 21, returning from injury and rookie Mike Conley, 19, settling in. Now add Juan Carlos Navarro from Spain, and suddenly, the situation is a bit crowded.

Navarro is 27, a good friend of power forward Pau Gasol and has been playing professionally since he was 16. He could have a leg up on the starting job, but that might not be his best situation.

"He is not a pure point guard," says one scout. "He is a scorer at heart. He can score with the ball; he can score without it. He is quick; he can shoot. He can get open looks any time he wants them.

"He'll have 25-point games in the league but isn't really a playmaker. His best role is a sixth man, kind of like (Leandro) Barbosa with the Suns." </div>

I wouldn't mind a line up looking like this
    Darko
    Gasol
    Gay
    M. Miller
    Navarro

I have a bit more faith in (Gasol and Millers playmaking + Navarro's all around abilities) than Conley or Lowry's NBA readiness
