Certainly over Paul or Jordan though. They should just do these teams like the All Stars... Backcourt/Front court no positions.
Chris Paul is listed at 6' 175 lbs. Whether or not he deserved to be first team all defensive, he is still pretty good and makes me wonder why we are so concerned about the size of our back court. How many guards are posting up Cp3 or even shooting over him? Does 2 inches make that much of a difference for guards anymore? Is Frazier too small at 6/1" to be a back up PG? ? Is CJ too small at 6'4" to be a SG? (and yes I realize those measurements are probably exaggerated, but so are the measurements of the players he is guarding.) I would argue that yes, against Harden, Clay Thompson, and Kobe (for another year) it's a bad match up. But how many others should we be concerned with? Most guards are a nightmare to cover because of their quickness, not their size. Cp3 plays defense while the ball is on the floor or as the offensive player is bringing the ball up, NOT after the shooter elevates. And like CP3, Cj has shown very good hands (and long arms) at doing the same. I think we make too much of size of our potential back court. The rules have evened the playing field.
Yet the much more overrated Jordan did. Who votes for these things? (Bogut was CLEARLY better than Jordan.)
Chris Paul is a perennial first-teamer, so I guess he MUST be good... but I'd like to see evidence. Is he really better than (say) Avery Bradley? Patrick Beverley?
All nba anything should be voted on by coaches and players. That would be a more accurate way into seeing who the best at what is.
