This will end badly. Unfortunate they felt they had to do this. Stick with what's working in my opinion.
Will these people be tested and quarantined for 2 weeks before entering bubble? And will they be tested everyday in the bubble?
Why would you assume that after everything the league has done right, that they will half ass this? They will do this right too. Everything will be fine. It is happening. @Orion Bailey
The virus is not in the bubble. These players are all testing negative. They are sticking with the program. Doing what they are supposed to....... you bring in girlfriends/friends and family/kids...... somebody is going to want to leave. Somebody will bring their kids to Disneyland, watch. Somebody's brother will talk a player into going out to a real club. Just seems like they should stick with what's working.
Felt the same way, but they will only allow others in after 14 of the 22 current teams there leave. Think they should be able to manage that, especially if they consolidate the remaining teams into the same hotel
couldn't agree more with this. Especially if the series drags out for the remaining rounds. id be happy to eat crow @blazerkor. don't change a thing and i will. Open it up and it leaves room for me to say i told ya so!
Wait, I'm not opening anything. For the record, the NBA has handled this the right way and defied your predictions and will continue to handle it the right way.
The original plan had this in it. It's not news. They will test these guests on arrival and then quarantine them for a few days, just like they did with all of the other non-game related people in the bubble (repoters, executives, etc.). I don't foresee a problem, this will be taken seriously.
its not bringing it in from the outset thats the concern. Its relatives and friends who get cabin fever and influence the player to leave, or leaves themselves, etc. not saying its inevitable, but its a real concern in my opinion. If i were the nba, id be having each person sign an agreement that if the violate the bubble rules they are subject to a forfeiture of all assets or something. Figure something out that will be too much to lose. if the players break the rules, which a few have, then i think whoever they bring in will likely break the rules too.
