To leave out the Rockets from the Western COnfrence playoffs is just crazy. I mean they have two all-stars in Ming and Francis. The Jazz should be out definelty and the Lakers are seated to high as they will most likely be a 7th or 8th seed. So are teh Spurs. THey have no second option. Everytime they go to Tim Duncan on the left block it is so predictable. Surprise team for the Western Confrence has to eb the Suns. They can beat any team on any night but can klose to any team on any given night
How can you possibly have the Sixers as the fourth seed. In the last month they're way under 500. I'm not sure but I think the Knicks have more wins then them in January.

the mavs do not stand a chance against the lakers in the playoffs. they will choke, just like the last game. the mavs don't have the mental toughness nor do they have anyone that's clutch. assuming the lakers make the playoffs, the only team that's a threat is the kings.
The east will b quite simple. Who brings their game. Indiana or New Jersey. We must remember that last year, the Pacers were a freethrow away from defeating the Nets. Then, the Pacers were half the team they r now. We have improved a ton, New Jersey has a little. Jefferson is key, Artest is key. I'd say that's the matchup that will win the games. Out West, If LA makes the playoffs, it's in the books. 4-peat. If LA doesn't make it, then it will b, the best offensive team ever, vs the world. I can see the Mavs getting past Pheonix, Portland, Utah, San Antonio, even the Kings. What I can't see, is them doing it 4 times in a row. they will lose ecentually. I think Pheonix is more of a contender than many people would think. EAST: 1. Indiana 2. New Jersey 3. Detroit 4. Boston 5. New Orleans 6. Washington 7. Philladelphia 8. Orlando WEST: 1. NBA Playoffs re: question for shapecity  Not to be mean or nasty in any way, I was just wondering if you were perhaps from Ca. or a Lakers' fan? I just can't possibly see the Lakers coming out on top this year but stranger things have happened. LOL.
I dont think the Nets will make it far, If you didn't notice they started playing good when Motumbo went down. I bet when he comes back they will start to struggle again.
Yes I'm a Laker fan and of course I have a bias towards them. Yes I'm from SoCal, too. The Lakers have been struggling and their role players are starting to show their age. However, I expect the Lakers to re-focus at the break after some of their guys rest up and spend a lot of time in the film room. The main reason the Lakers are losing is the lack of defense intensity. They are vulnerable to the 3pt shot and Fisher has not been able to stop any of the top PG's in the league. The Lakers need to improve on getting the ball out of the PG's hand and force other teams to take low % shots. Easier said then done, but I have faith the Lakers will find a way to get it done. I also don't see anyone stopping them in a series. Shaq really wears down a team and when the Lakers are hitting from the outside they are unstoppable.
re: Shapecity's NBA playoff opinion Shape, Gee I think you said that rather well, I think the Lakers could use you on their coaching staff. LOL. If they get the things done that you are saying need to be taken care of, they indeed would be in the finals. I remember how difficult it was for me to take last year when the Pacers were struggling to even make it to the play-offs. Their standings were hovering around .500 and nobody really thought they'd even make it to playoffs, but towards the end, they got it together like I knew they could have been playing all year and went right in and faced the #1 seed in the East, Jersey as I'm sure you know, and scared the c**p out of them. LOL. So, yes, anything is quite possible. Good luck to you, and keep up the very well worded posts. Peace.
