Kinda hard to believe it was 20 years ago. I'm still convinced, had W not unwisely got us mixed up in Iraq, and stayed focused on Afghanistan, things would've turned out a whole lot better. I'll be visiting NYC for the first time coming up later this year. Definitely will visit the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
Yeah, that's crazy it was 20 years ago. My dad was watching the news after the first plane hit. He saw the 2nd plane hit live thinking it was a replay of the 1st plane hitting. W wasn't even in charge. Cheney called the shots. He was waiting for a reason to invade Iraq to go after their oil. 9/11 became his reason. If he and his administration actually went after the people involved, took them out, and got out, yes things would have went better. That is cool you are visiting the memorial
Probably in appreciation for him being there on 9/11, helping to rescue people and pulling the dead from the wreckage……and just being supportive……..(I don’t REALLY need to use green font for this response, do I???)
Let's forget already. I hate having to act as if 9/11 is some kind of national holiday that we must all observe. With America's meddling around this planet, especially in the middle east... America got what it deserved on 9/11, period. I am sorry if this creates a response that people don't like, but the truth hurts. It is time we all faced the truth.
You would have to elaborate. Without an explanation, just saying that is B.S. is literally meaningless, as your opinion has no basis in anything, other than your own opinion. Which is no argument, at all. Edit: Don't bother, anyone. It is clear, and I knew it would happen, that I have struck a nerve in people who can't seem to look past nationalism and see the truth. So it is best to just leave it at my comment.
Thats not what he meant. He is saying, after all the shit America has done with invading countries, coups, etc its not a surprise we were attacked. Our government brought it on us in a way.
If you look before 9/11. In the 90's Bill Clinton helped George Bush Sr. to kill, from what I understand to be, a million Iragi's through sanctions. So many deaths that the U.N. chief, at the time, resigned calling it genocide. If any other country on this planet could do that to America, we wouldn't hesitate to go to war with them. Nor should we, of course. If you go back past even before I was born in late '64. America was meddling in the middle east. So Americans should stop pretending that America isn't the aggressor in most every war our elite class wants to get America into, for their own profit. Our military industrial complex needs their contracts, for the wealthy. And our government, obliges them... to the detriment of our own citizenry. Last time. Just felt the need to elaborate a bit on CC's post.
If you say actions of US government has generated a lot of enmity, I wore out a lot of shoes protesting so I agree. I do not agree with the notion of collective blame. Road Ratt said "America" got what it deserved which sure sounded like the people working for a catering company, random people on planes, firefighters, etc. So at best a poor choice of words.
