    The bill to regulate MMA in NY State has passed the Senate for the sixth straight year. It has repeatedly died at the hands of Sheldon Silver who refused to have it up for a vote--but Silver is gone, now, the crooked motherfucker. Heastie and Cuomo are both proponents of MMA in the State.

    Cuomo's not the problem. I think RR's meeting with him was UFC marketing & PR. The problem was Silver and the Culinary Union's money.

    IIRC Cuomo took money from Zuffa for his reelection campaign although White & the Fertitta's are pretty conservative.

    Oh yah, I know Cuomo isn't the problem, but the fact that he is sitting down with the UFC's biggest star is a great sign.
