OK so Kawhi is old news. That leaves Butler, Middleton and Love as potentially attainable. Who do you want? Do the Blazers have what it takes to get one of them, considering what they may not be willing to give up?
All of em are going to be free agents next year. Love is probably the most attainable unless we make CJ available in trades.
ACCORDING TO OUR NEW ARRIVAL LIFE IS MORE THAN MERE SURVIVAL AND WE JUST MIGHT LIVE THE GOOD LIFE YET! DUN DANANANA DANANANANANANA
Love only makes sense if we're not giving up anything of value. If we're trading CJ, then we better get Butler. As to whether I'd prefer a CJ/Butler trade or an Aminu+Turner/Love trade, that's a bit tougher. I suppose the Love one. But in the poll I voted Butler.
This is what I want to know. Since the idea is to improve the team, obviously Olshey will first target whomever we could get without losing Dame/CJ/Nurk. If any. Butler since Thibodeau supposedly likes Turner? Love if Cleveland is throwing in the towel? Middleton since he may not have as much value? And throwing this out there: I think Simons is going to be SPECIAL in a couple of years. I'd like to not trade him.
All things being equal, I would say Butler. Sadly, I think this is another case where we would have to pay top dollar for a one year rental. Middleton would not be a bad fall back, assuming he was willing to re-sign.
we have so many shooters now that what we need is a defensive two way player...to me..that's Butler..Thibs love Evan Turner....we could offer a young two guard and ET for Butler and Dieng...
