well, it's here. it's pretty much the biggest time of year for my Browns (or when we face the Steelers). Who do you guys have Carolina taking? any news on their pick yet? There's a very likely chance Cam Newton goes #1. EDIT: Results 1. Panthers - Cam Newton 2. Broncos - Von Miller 3. Bills - Marcell Dareus 4. Bengals - AJ Green 5. Cardinals - Patrick Peterson 6. Falcons (from the Browns) - Julio Jones 7. 49ers - Aldon Smith 8. Titans - Jake Locker 9. Cowboys - Tyron Smith 10. Jaguars (from the Redskins) - Blaine Gabbert 11. Texans - JJ Watt 12. Vikings - Christian Ponder 13. Lions - Nick Fairley 14. Rams - Robert Quinn 15. Dolphins - Mike Pouncey 16. Redskins (from the Jaguars) - Ryan Kerrigan 17. Patriots (from the Raiders) - Nate Solder 18. Chargers - Corey Liuget 19. Giants - Prince Amukamara 20. Buccaneers - Adrian Clayborn 21. Browns (from the Chiefs) - Phil Taylor 22. Colts - Anthony Castonzo 23. Eagles - Danny Watkins 24. Saints - Cameron Jordan 25. Seahawks - James Carpenter 26. Ravens - Jimmy Smith 27. Chiefs (from the Browns) - Jonathan Baldwin 28. Saints (from the Patriots) - Mark Ingram 29. Bears - Gabe Carimi 30. Jets - Muhammed Wilkerson 31. Steelers - Cameron Heyward 32. Packers - Derek Sherrod
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread Patrick Peterson won't go past my Browns unless AJ Green is still there. And one of them (or both) will be taken before #6 pick. Von Miller would be amazing beside Willis, but I don't see 6 teams passing up on him. If he gets to the Cardinals at 5, I have a hard time believing they'll pass on him unless Gabbert is also there.
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread oh my bad, i thought i posted it, mugatu. 1. Cam Newton - I'm convinced he'll go #1 2. Marcell Dareus - Safest DLinemen (not imo, the most talented) pick in the draft 3. Von Miller (could be Gabbert, but Gailey loves Newton a lot more) 4. AJ Green - Brown is commited and convinced Palmer will stay, bluff or not. 5. Blaine Gabbert - I could see them going with PP, but they're in need of a QB really, really bad. 6. Patrick Peterson - Best player available. Best player in the draft (imo), and unless AJ Green is still here, there's no way he doesn't get picked here, despite what a lot of non-Browns beat writers "predict". Even though we have a future superstar CB in Haden, our secondary is almost as bad as our front 7, so it's not like we're set at any position. There's a good chance right now that you guys are willing to trade up to get Peterson IF is still here at 6. You guys will obviously have to give up a 1st and 2nd for him. 7. Amukamara (imo, too early), Gabbert (if he magically drops here), Robert Quinn - It's one of these three. Of course, if Gabbert isn't taken with the 5th pick, my Browns also lose out on Peterson/Green and we'll probably trade down.
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread 1 cam 2 md 3 gabbert 4 green 5 patterson 6 quinn or julio jones 7 von miller book it
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread IF we don't land Green or Peterson, we'll take Von Miller before we touch Robert Quinn. Or trade down. If that happens to be the case and Von Miller is still there at the 6, many teams are gonna trade up. I'm more than happy to get another 2nd rounder.
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread Jones would be a reach at 6. He shouldn't even go top 10. He's nowhere on the level of AJ Green.
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread The Lions are in a good position for someone like Castonzo or Cameron Jordan. Both great value picks at 13.
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread who trades their pick? if its meh at 7 i vote the niners trade into 2012 and pick up a later 1st
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread We're trading out if no one on our top 3 big board is there. If Peterson is there at 6, the Cowboys will go through and hell and back trading for this pick. If the Niners take heed to this, they'll probably try to trade up a spot too.
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread If the panthers was smart, Whoever they can sign cheaper would be my pick. And they need to get him signed before the draft.
Re: NFL 2011 Draft Thread According the Akron Dealer --and many well-received Cleveland newspapers that have conversed with Heckert-- Heckert and the Browns have a two-player wishlist: AJ Green and Patrick Peterson (looks like it's a 1a 1b situation). If both are gone, then they trade down.
