The Raiders picked up former Wisconsin cornerback Nick Nelson with their first pick in the fourth round (No. 110 overall) on Saturday morning.

Nelson damaged his meniscus during a private workout with the Lions earlier this offseason and needed surgery. After NFL Network initially reported Nelson’s recovery time to be 3-4 months, it turned out the surgery wasn’t as invasive as first thought.

“It was only a six-week process and this is my second week,” Nelson said on a conference call Saturday morning. “I’ll be good to go in the summer. By fall camp, I’ll be 100 percent.”
