    San Francisco booted a 17-point lead, then Phil Dawson kicked the 49ers to a victory that clinched the NFC's No. 5 playoff seed.

    Dawson made a 40-yard field goal as the game ended to lift the 49ers to a 23-20 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
