Stating the obvious for those that have watched the SL so far, but Waiters has looked ABSOLUTELY horrid. Decent O, horrible D, and wayyy out of shape.
He is a 20 year old athlete who has to watch his weight? Not a good sign. Sure some players hire a nutritionist and change their eating habits and stay in shape. But he will really have to be dedicated.
He could turn it around, but I really think my stay the hell away from Syracuse pedigree and American born white center in the lottery theories are damn solid
Like I said, I think we'll regret passing on Lamb. I think he could have a career similar to Michael Redd, Kevin Martin, or maybe even Ray Allen. I'd say Ray Allen would be his absolute ceiling.
Wow one day you act like Leonard is an exception to your rule, the next he's garbage. Who are you? John Kerry?
Stony McPot certainly seems like he'll have enough talent to stick, but that dude's demeanor doesn't exactly scream "winner" I'm OK with letting him pass by.
The only way we regret passing on lamb is if Meyers turns out to only be okay or a bust. Nothing lamb does will make us regret passing on him its what Meyers does that will write that story. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
I think Leonard is athletic, and still a few years away. He will be a Joel Przybilla guy with a little more offense. I'm not sure I have ever wavered from that.
Redd and Martin are/were leading scorers for meh teams, and Allen turned out to be the 4th-best player on a title team with Rondo/Pierce/Garnett all being more important to that team. I won't really regret passing on the 4th-best player on a title team.
This isn't the same player at Syracuse! The time the he took off from canceling his workout obviously weren't productive. His first-step is gone and his lift isn't there. In short, he's WAY out of basketball shape. He really should be ashamed of himself. And I'm not afraid to eat crow, I hope Lillard makes me, but it's summer League and I'll hold my judgement. Lillard does look like he's on a totally different level.
Kevin Martin maybe. The other two? Hell no. Redd and Allen were some of the best 3 point shooters in a long time, maybe ever. Lamb was 34% from behind the arc in college.
There's a reason he couldn't get in the starting lineup in his 2 years at Syracuse. Such a reach by Cleveland.
