Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind playing Phoenix.

Phoenix is currently the 4th seed and could move up as well if they keep doing well. I realize we lost to them in our last meeting, but we did own the series this year and I think we can beat them. When we lost to them, IMO, it wasn't there defense that beat us (though, give them credit they played tough zone and we cracked), but it was people like Roy and Batum just missing about everything. There defense is still pretty bad and while they have the potential to light up the scoreboard, I feel Camby may help a little bit (in fact, it showed in our last meeting I thought). If we played the Suns when we met them the way we have been playing now, I think we would have won. What do you guys think? Is Phoenix beatable? Do you still prefer Dallas or another team?

(Just an FYI, I still prefer Dallas, but if we get Phoenix, I wouldn't exactly cry).

I agree. Basically right now the only team that scares the total shit out me is Utah. Right now I am still trying to determine if LA is sandbagging it. I can't tell if they are truly stinking it up, or they are just coasting until end of season.

I'm really fine with anyone right now. Even Utah.

All the Blazers need is a bust out game against them. That might be one series where the only way we can win is if the starters play the bulk of the minutes.

Yep. Blazers are firing on all cylinders right now, and have the capability of beating any team in the league in a 7 games series, with the possible exception of Cleveland.

The teams that we may face first round are Lakers, Dallas, Utah, Phoenix and Denver. Of those five, I would most like to face Phoenix. Then Denver. Then Dallas, Then Lakers and finally Utah.

i think the blazers need to just take 1 game at a time and avoid the lakers at all costs. go from there. forget all this "hope to play whoever".... just avoid 8th seed and see what happens. the only spots we have a chance at are 6 or 7

with that said... no way we beat denver tonight.

I appreciate the attempt to reverse jinx, but those never work. Only sincere woofing affects game outcomes.

    You missed one. OKC. :)

Chances are it won't happen with Portland moving to 4th, but OKC moving to 4th is a slightly higher possibility. The Blazers slide in at 5, and you have an OKC PDX matchup. Not really likely, but possible.

I think they are our best bet. Throw out the regular season records. I think Dallas will be harder than the Jazz or Suns.
