<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Denver Nuggets, who added young talent to the lineup when they took Carmelo Anthony with the No. 3 pick in the draft, are now in pursuit of veteran support. General manager Kiki Vandeweghe said he is considering bringing former NBA rebounding champion Dennis Rodman in for a tryout this week, the Denver Post reported Sunday. "We might bring him in for a day for a tryout," Vandeweghe told the paper. "We're just looking around. We've kind of kicked the idea around a little bit." Vandeweghe has been looking for another veteran big man, according to the paper.</div> Full Story: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1631080
I say give it a shot, I know I want to see him play again, as would the media. If this works out, please be good Dennis, end your career the right way.
good move i should say even if he misbehaves...he'll help increase the ticket sales...and the nuggets could use a rebounding demon...i heard he's working out a lot lately...so im guessing that he'll behave this time...
That's great and all, but have you seen him play basketball, didn't think so. I think he would be great, and if all else fails, he would increase ticket sales a lot.
i have seen him play. like 5 years ago. and he ruined the mavs for the short time he was there. he increases ticket sales but still not worth it IMO.
Man if the worm does make it think of the line up they would have.. pg miller sg posey sf melo pf rodman c camby camby and rodman might form a powerful reboudning duo.
behavin or misbehavin...this guy can still give you 14-16 rpg...who wouldn't want that? especially a team with Camby as the projected leading rebounder...
yes i am...that is if he'll be given major minutes...he'll be sharing the rebounding chores with Camby...
If you think a 42 year old Rodman could still averaged 14-16 rebounds a game then you are crazy. If Nuggets sign him he will likely get the same kind of minutes as Sabonis did last season with the Blazers....or else he could burn out...but saying this if he is signed I don't expect him to last the season...considering the record he had the last time he played in the NBA with Dallas and L.A..but I would like to see him back just to bring more excitment to the league and the Nuggets.
<font face="Franklin Gothic Medium">I "laugh out loud" when I hear about Rodman making a return to the NBA. His colorful persona is a plus, but c'mon...What does Rodman have left at the age of 42, and why does he want to make a return in the first place? He's all ready got rebounding titles under his belt, as well as NBA Championships! What does he want now, and MVP award? Whether Kiki Vandeweghe wants to give him a chance or not, is up to him...But, I doubt Rodman would get much playing time over anyone else on they're roster.</font>
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">You can't count on Camby to be healthy either.</div> that's why he'll avg a hgh number of rebounds...Camby's his only help, and he won't be healthy either...
Why would the Nuggets do this? Maybe if they had a shot to make it to the finals. I don't think too many would come just to see Denis Rodman rebound. He would screw up that team chemistry IMO.
