Without reading the article, and just looking at the pic, I would say he looks like a pg, but after looking at those numbers, I would say 2 guard.
I think I may have seen a clip of this guy because I watch BYU alot. And though he played for BYU-Hawaii, he could still be a decent pickup for training camp. Why not take the chance?

A lot of teams like foreign players because they seem to be more fundamentally sound, maybe that's what they were going for. Hey MDE, BYU (utah) football plays air force in 3 hours! He might be a pretty ok player, but also think about the merchandise! The Nuggets certainly will sell a lot of jerseys in Japan by signing a Japanese player.
