    Its complete bullshit. Okay, don't add it to the cumulative season total, because other teams didn't get this game. But the individual game performance should absolutely be allowed to be a recorded stat for this game and go into the books.

    Which is made more silly by the fact that some teams weren’t added to the bubble, and teams all played various numbers of games anyhow (like the Blazers had played one more game than all the teams that were still in the battle for 8th/9th seeds on the final day). It’s not the like game was an exhibition - it had playoff implications.

    Baseball has had the wild card play in for a while. I see it as a complete failure to not treat this just like a post season play playoff game.
