Did anyone else see the video of him grabbing the fans phone and throwing it after the game today? Wonder what the fan said?
I lip read the fan calling Nurk a pussy as he’s looking Nurk’s chest lol. People say things to people to try and trigger them while they’re in a work setting that they would never say otherwise. I’ve dealt with that before too
Probably doesn’t apply to this kid but yeah; lot of people get drunk and act like an idiot court side. Like they think sitting there on the floor has them on the same level as the professional Athletes who play on it. Heard plenty of stories of legit racism by some “fans”. Quotes because if you are there to talk shit you might not actually be a true fan, rather just a punk. Cognitive bias; then they go to work the next day and tell their friends about how Nurkic threw their phone cause they were talking shit. Then people think Nurkic is an asshole because they don’t want to call Timmy an asshole to his face. When the truth is, Timmy needs to stay in his lane and hand his TPS reports in on time. In other words, that’s the closest Timmy will ever come to being on the court. One thing I don’t like about this video is the kid didn’t even have to go scour the nosebleeds to find his phone.
I can tell by the way that kid said “why you throw my phone” that he’s annoying as fuck and probably unbearable with 1-2 coors lights in him.
Makes you wonder what he was saying and recording out there that led Nurk to actually go over and do this. Like after the game, when you’d normally just walk to the locker room. He must have legitimately been excessive in whatever it was. Knowing how stupid people can be, for all we know he could have thought Nurkic was Russian and been saying all sorts of nonsense.
Many smartphones can overheat when in heavy use, like if someone were video recording an NBA game. Nurk probably saw the battery was overheating and getting ready to explode. Throwing the phone he saved that kid's life. Nurk is a hero!
Clearly was holding the phone up to record whatever confrontation he was hoping to elicit. Nurk just low key tosses it into the stands LOL. He did the right thing.
He did NOT do the right thing. Childish and embarrassing for him and the team. The kid is an ass wipe though.
Couple ways to look at it. Nurk might have been right in confronting him but i would assume it would have been just as easy to walk on by. Without much context it's hard to say? I wonder if we will get more info on this later?
Seems to me that Nurk walked across the court to confront the kid. I wonder if he said something to one of the younger guys and Nurk went into protect the younger guy mode and went and confronted him. Seems he walked straight to the kid.
Nurkic is clearly really Ethan Hunt in disguise in Mission Impossible 8. He was accepting his mission and the phone was getting ready to self destruct to destroy the message.
