I’m just not impressed. Nurk seems uncoordinated, clumsy, doesn’t finish much at the rim…

what do we do with Nurkic?

trade him? - sign him to new contract?

I say trade him for Kanter (wink)

chauncey billups has promised him bigger role on offense, but from what weve seen so far, his role is the same as it was last season (and he was unhappy with his role) and nurk is in bad place right now, hes in a contract year, but hes not been allowed to flourish so far and im not sure his role is gonna get bigger... dame & cj mccollum shoot a lot, then you have powell and while dame does pass the ball (although he should do it more), the other two wouldnt pass the ball to god and then you have simons, so there are basically three guards that are bad fit for nurk, he just cant get the ball playing with them, they all look to get theirs, theyre selfish and thats it

hes not gonna get big contract if he doesnt flourish this season and it seems like he wont, so he probably wont get more than 4/60, from the blazers or some other team and it looks like the best case scenario for nurk would be leaving in free agency or getting traded this season, but only if hes gonna be a starter on a new team... if the blazers can trade him (or lose him in free agency) and get a better center or someone whos better fit than him, then it would be good for the blazers, but if they cant, then nurk leaving wouldnt be good for the team... but like i said, when it comes to nurk, hed be better elsewhere

personally, id like to see him traded or to see him leave in free agency, he just cant flourish with so many selfish players around him

Anyone else watch Chauncey light into him during a Time Out? Nurkic jawing at the refs and wasting time getting back.

A little off topic here but I sometimes wonder if Nurk playing with Jokic was a bad thing. Meaning I wonder if it made him think he could do a lot of the stuff Jokic could do instead of developing who he is with the skills he has.

Nurk is not as good as he thinks he is skill wise to demand a bigger role

Fuck no. Let him walk. I hate Nurk. Guy even talks like he’s a superstar. I’ll take Poetl off the spurs over this dude. At least he’s smart, coordinated and finishes well

I don't believe we can trade him for any useful value, so just keep him and resign to an MLE type contract. If a trade materializes that makes sense sure pull the trigger. If he wants a bigger deal let him go get it.

Just give me a guy that works hard out there. So much can go right if they just stay focused and work hard every possession.

Zeller works hard every possession. He doesn't have the talent or skills other players have.

Would Jonas Valanciunas be an upgrade?

Unfortunately we're not in a position to wait out our upcoming free agents. Because our cap situation is pretty bad, we need to get players on longer deals back in return for expiring contracts.

Risking Nurk/Roco walking and using the MLE to fill those gaps would be an incredibly risky strategy.

I'm not sure if he's an upgrade, but he's got a few years left on his deal, which means you have to consider it.

Our best bet would be to package Nurkic with CJ and improve the team.

Wait a sec, I thought the last coach didn’t use him correctly? I’m confused.

I don't think you get Jonas for Nurk straight up. Jonas has far better attitude and to me personally is clearly the best player of the two. He is talented, good finisher and never complains.
