We start Impact with a recap of what happened at the main event at Bound For Glory. Backstage Dixie’s lawyer is talking with Eric about how he switched the contract that Dixie signed effectively giving Eric and Hogan control of the company. In the ring we have Eric Bischoff and Hogan talking about how it was time to take over what was theirs. Hogan says Dixie didn’t want to do it the easy way so had no choice. Bischoff says no one knew why Abyss turned on Hogan all those months ago apart from them, Abyss enters at Eric’s introduction. Hogan calls him his son and Abyss says “They” are here. He then says he is there soldier and he will destroy anything, or anyone that they say. Eric then introduces Jeff Jarrett. Jeff says Dixie came in and took the company off him and it is a pleasure to work with Hogan and Bischoff. Jeff said there are new rules dictated by the new powers. Fortune enter the ring. Flair says to to Hogan he probably hasn’t been watching the show but this company is run by Fortune (big pop). Flair says in 25 years they have hated each other and only one will stay tonight. Flair and Hogan look to square off but embrace instead. Hogan says to Flair it was destiny they came together and Flair says he will wake up every morning loving Hogan more than he ever loved anything. Hogan says more than his last five ex-wives? Flair says more than his last five ex-wives, and where ever they are, they can kiss his ass. Bischoff the introduces TNA’s new Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Hardy. You sold out chants start. Hardy says he didn’t sell out he sold in and popularity means nothing to him. Hardy blames the fans for his herniated discs and pinch nerves just to try and please them. He then says RVD is a ass kisser and the reason Abyss destroyed him was because of Hardy and for the plan to come together he needed to be removed. Backstage we see Sting and Kevin Nash on the big screen and Eric says the party is in the ring so come on down. Backstage Dixie is with her partner and Gunner (security), she says to Gunner not to leave her side, he agrees. Back in the ring Nash and Sting enter. Eric says its all about money and they are more than welcome to join them. Nash says it is almost a perfect fit for him cause he only cares about money and himself. He then says as he got older he got wiser. He then says the guys out the back are his friends now and he is going to pass on the money and if they want to take the company down they can do it without him. Sting says he wouldn’t have sacrificed his body five years ago if he didn’t love TNA. He also says it is a no win situation and he doesn’t want to repeat history, so the answers no. Bischoff asks if they are nuts, cause they will be on television kicking ass while they are sitting at home getting fat. Pope talks with Nash and Sting and says he will keep fighting the fight as long as he is getting paid. Dixie tells Sting and Nash they can’t leave her with them. Sting says she left them no choice after they tried to tell her. Dixie then runs into Bischoff and Hogan, she slaps Eric a beauty. She demands Hogan to tell her that they ripped her off. Hogan says see him in his office. Hogan admits to taking the company off her and makes excuses for doing so. Dixie blames Eric and says she never trusted him. Dixie tells Gunner to get them out of there but instead removes her at Hogan’s command. On the way out Dixie’s partner gets knocked out by Gunner. Some hot chick just arrived backstage. Madison in the ring now speaks of her plan of winning the Knockouts Title at Bound For Glory and calls out Tara. In the ring with both girls now Madison reminds Tara she wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for her and she should do the right thing. Tara reluctantly hands the belt to the ref. Madison tells her again to do the right thing and Tara lies down and pins Madison for the three count. New Knockouts champion, Madison. Madison embraces with Tara. Mickie James comes out and says that was disgraceful. Then interrupts Madison and says she will make history and take the title right now. Mickie enters the ring and smashes Tara before Madison makes her escape. The real Shore girl is looking for Cookie with The Beautiful people. First they look in the men’s room before running into Eric Young. EY asks Bowow to wait, he asks is he a gorilla and he can be her chimp. Orlando then asks to put her lollipop in her mouth but she drops it to the ground. EY thinks she likes him. Kurt Angle to the ring now.. Kurt says he was invited but before he announces his retirement he has a few words. Kurt says he is a broken man after Bound For Glory and he wants to know why Hogan and Co took him out. He then says he may not have won at BFG but he didn’t lose either. Jeff Jarret enters the arena. Jeff says its clear as day, he didn’t win so he shouldn’t wrestle now. Jeff says of all people he is out there making excuses, the olympic champ, the father, the husband, or ex-husband. Jeff says he will never forget how he made his life a living hell. Kurt says, first of all, you can have that slut. Then he asks how he made Jarrett’s life a living hell. By putting TNA on the map? Teaching the rookies everything he knows. Or when he came in it wasn’t all about Jeff anymore. He asks Jeff how many Titles he won before he came there, a dozen? 2 dozen? Then he says Jeff held everyone down, but he couldn’t hold him down. Jeff says it has nothing to do with it, but taking back what was rightfully his and partnering with Hogan was how he could do it. Jeff says destroying Angles career was more important than taking his life and taking his career was the nail in his coffin. Angle heads towards Jeff but is hit by Gunner and the other guy and handcuffed. Jeff beats on him and throws him into the wall really hard. Jeff stares and continues to beat on him until Taz breaks it up and tells Jeff he went to far. Joe at Daytona Beach the day after BFG. He says Jeff needed him to fight his fight for a reason. Now that man is looking for him.

In the ring Abyss beats on him until RVD hits the ring. TNA help, try to attend to Joe but he pushes them away and leaves.

RVD has the mic and calls out Jeff Hardy to explain himself. RVD says he had his trust and respect. Hardy interrupts and says friendship is an illusion to get close to opponents to devour them. His words are biblical and some refer to him as the new anti-christ of wrestling. Eric Bischoff comes out and says RVD can have a shot for the title at Turning Point if he beats Mr Anderson. Eric is talkiing with Miss Tessmacher and calls her easy and tells her he knew about Pope and Nash. Miss Tessmecher has been telling people too much info and Eric tells her she is going to be a knockout if she wants to stay around. Mr Anderson shakes Eric’s hand and is squeezing and says he is a bigger asse… no douche than him and he ain’t gunna win this war.

Personally I prefer the wrestling to the stories so I found this to be a very disappointing Impact. Fifty Five minutes is far to long for the first match in a ninety minute program,. I can forgive the matches not being good straight after BFG but there were wrestlers on the roster they could have thrown us just to give us a good match tonight. The whole Fortune joining Hogan and Co I am yet undecided how I feel about it and want to wait a few weeks to see how it develops. The one segment I really did enjoy tonight was the Angle/Jarrett one. I have never liked Jeff in or out of the ring, but full respect for starting the company. That segment felt so real I can’t wait to see these two go at it, cause lets face it, I am sure they would like to get there hands on each other.
