I have noticed when oden is on the bench he sits all the way on the end ISOLATED from everyone else...Is this a good thing? IT seems he would be sitting around the starting 5 not down at the end behind the guy in street clothes. Just seems to me he should be in the mix talking and interacting...I think Mcmuffin should assign a strategic seating order on the benchto bolster the unity of the team. what do you think am I crazy?
I really think Oden is becoming an enigma, and the team knows it. Here is hoping he finds his game and lets his game speak for him.
Or maybe he's just so big that he needs the room at the end.. I don't know. Joel also sits at the end of the bench, maybe not at the very end, but near the end. But I agree, he could try to talk to his teammates about the game, learn what others are saying, and get into the game a little more instead of looking like he's sulking.
Like someone said Joel sits down near the end too. I've seen Joel sit down past Shavlik and when he comes in for Greg then Greg just goes down and takes Joel's chair. I don't take anything from it expect maybe Greg just doesn't want to ask the whole bench to move down a seat since he's usually the first one being subbed for.
It's hard to say something is wrong with Oden when we haven't seen him play in the NBA before this year . . . maybe this is all just adjusting to the NBA. But it is hard to imagine a dominate center with this kind of demeanor.
