    Atlanta Fired their coach today. Looks like Nate McMillian is the lead assistant and they are hoping he will take over.

    Nate McMillan is becoming a journeyman, a Bernie Bickerstaff II.

    After Bob Whitsitt made his first-ever draft pick, McMillan, Bickerstaff coached McMillan for his first 4 years.

    He's a good coach, without a gimmick, like Stotts' no defense, all 3-point shooting. McMillan learned classic blue chip Celtics-level defense tricks when K.C. Jones was his head coach. He's not a great innovator, but the contra flipside is that he doesn't get roped into gimmickry, whatever the decade's fad is. Solid, but not a champion. A more respectable system than Stotts, with a better record if he had this roster. You won't pull your hair out watching it.
