The NBA draft is now only 12 measly hours away. Post any thoughts, observations and of course, the official picks regarding Seattle, in this thread.
Oh man, I can't wait... 5 hours to go! This draft catches alot of slack for being weak or whatever but at least its unpredictable and suspenseful.
I'm so excited! Here's a little snippet from Chad Ford's chat today. Kiran (Boston): Any inside news on the Sonics? Are they looking into dealing Ray Allen? Chad Ford: (2:03 PM ET ) I think so. Allen's rubbed some folks in Seattle the wrong way. That's why they were looking so hard at Kirk Snyder. If I'm Seattle, I take Snyder and then try to swap Allen to Portland for Shareef and the No. 13. The Sonics need bigs, the Blazers need shooting. DO IT WALLY. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT. *waves arms in entrancing motions*
^ I saw that man, I reckon Portland would refuse it and only offer pick 22 or 23 (probably still a fair deal). Picks 12 nd 13, plus Reef, is a nice start to changing the team around, but with Chicago now taking pick seven and likely Luke Jackson, is Snyder still there at 12? I only have the crappy Australian version of ESPN which doesn't even give me a live coverage of the draft, if you can believe that
Devin Harris at 5, Dallas or Washington won't need that so it must be a GS trade? I have heard Troy Muphy and the 11, would make some sense. If they get Murphy, could this mean they are willing to deal Dirk to LA?
Chicago has won the draft. Gordon and Igoudala/Deng (I'm presuming). Hot damn. Will Harris be sent packing? Or will he fill the void of Steve Nash in the Big D (leaving the possibility of Nash/Nowitzki straight-up for Shaquille?!)
Good to see you, St. Nick. Someone is good is going to slip to us. 'illadeplhia could get Deng. Wow, that would be a great wing-man for AI.
