Olympiacos have signed former CSKA superstar Theodoros Papaloukas, two top players from Maccabi, Yotam Halperin and Nikola Vujcic and talented young center Zoran Erceg of FMP. Reportedly, the Olympiacos board has allowed unlimited funds to be used on transfers, and Coach Yiannakis hasn't refrained from using them.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"Greek giants already announced the signing of one of the most wanted players in the market this summer, Nikola Vujcic but that was not all. There rumours about the return of Theo Papaloukas for some time. 31-year-old agreed on 3-year contract with The Reds. Papaloukas spent six season in Moscow."</div>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"After signing of Nikola Vujcic and Theo Papaloukas, Olympiakos Pireous will sign another big European name. Next member of the club will be Yotam Halperin, 24-years-old Israeli guard, who played for Maccabi Tel Aviv last two years.

Maccabi wasn’t satisfied with Halperin’s performance in Israeli Premiere League where they ended second after Hapoel Holon who finished years of their dominance. Soon after the finals many clubs showed interest in Israeli NT member, biggest names mentioned were CSKA Moscow and Olympiakos. Halperin chose Greek powerhouse who is building a team to overcome rival Panathinaikos.

Olymipakos will reportedly paid 650.000 € for buy-out. Player’s contract will probably be 3-years long and 3 millions $ worth."</div>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"Olympiacos continued its frontcourt rebuilding process by signing Zoran Erceg, one of the most promising young big man anywhere, to a five-year contract on Friday. Erceg (211, 23) comes to the Reds from FMP of Serbia, where he made a name for himself by leading the team to the ULEB Cup semifinals in 2006-07. Last season, Erceg averaged 14 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in eight ULEB Cup appearances as well as 15.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 29 Adriatic League games."</div>

According to reports in Israel, Vujcic's contract is worth 4.8 million dollars, while Papaloukas's is worth 12-16 million euros.

Also, Olympiacos have offered Toronto's Anthony Parker a 24 million, 3 year contract. The guard isn't expected to move back to Europe, but the huge contract offer may change his mind. In addition to the contract, the Greeks would have to pay the Raptors for a buyout of Parker's contract.

As I said, he probably will stay a Raptor. But who knows, big money can cause unexpected things to happen.
