The Baltimore Orioles had just earned a split of their doubleheader with the Chicago White Sox, and manager Buck Showalter didn't seem the least bit excited.

That's because there would be plenty of work ahead, most of which would involve resting weary players and shuffling the pitching staff.

The Orioles rebounded to scratch out a 6-3 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday after a 3-2 loss in the opener of a doubleheader caused by rioting in Baltimore last month.
